Rachel Hodges

Rachel Marie Hodges, 33, of Marblemount, passed away at her home Sun., Oct. 30, 2011.

Rachel was born Nov. 15, 1977, in Auburn, Wash., to David and Victoria (Crookshank) Adams. She was married to Josh Hodges in May 2002.

Rachel loved picking mushrooms, drawing pictures, writing poems, fishing and camping with her kids, visiting friends and family, and working with horses.  Some of her nicknames are Sunshine and Tigger. She helped some people turn their lives around, and provided home care and babysitting services to those who needed them, providing a shoulder to cry on.

Rachel is survived by her mother, Victoria (Rody) Martin; father, David Adams; sons, Jared, Brian, and Elijah Crookshank; sisters, Patricia Douglas and Crystal (Ed) Chatterton; grandparents, James E. and Sandra Crookshank, of Yuma, Ariz., and Hazel Adams, of New Mexico; aunts, Sylvia and Joann; uncles, Jimmy and Steve; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hope Martin.

A Memorial Potluck was held at 11 a.m., Sun., Nov. 13, 2011, at Marblemount Community Hall.
